While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I encountered behind its entrance was appalling and beyond comprehension .

The floors were sticky , and a pungent odor of stale beer and neglected washrooms suffused the entire venue . Smelling a mixture of excrement , decay and illness . The bar area , which should be the centerpiece of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and litter that looked like it had been ignored for a long time . The bathroom was in even more deplorable shape —overflowing , with a broken handle and walls covered in what I can only assume was fecal matter .
